Map & Direction at Royal Cliff Terrace : Pattaya lies on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, approximately 140 kms from Bangkok. This resort city is divided into four major zones:  North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, South Pattaya and Jomtien. Pattaya has three major roads running parallel to each other. The Beach Road runs along the beachfront one-way from north to south. Pattaya 2 Road is about 100 meters away, partly one-way south to north and partly two-way. Sukhumvit Road is a continuation of the main highway from Bangkok. The major roads are linked by narrow lanes. Pattaya 2 Road continues through South Pattaya, over the headland where the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH are located, and on to Jomtien Beach. On the other side of Sukhumvit Road are several country clubs, golf courses and typical rural villages, as well as the railway from Bangkok. Pattaya’s public transport is provided by customized pickup trucks, known as song taew, with 2 rows on seats in the back for 8-10 passengers. If not occupied, they can also be hired as private taxis. Alternatively, air-conditioned taxis are everywhere and easy to hail.
